| Achievements Over the years I have won many awards and trophies for sports and education. I had a good education and worked hard to gain my eight g.c.s.e's and art As level. In 2006 I went to college to train as a beauty specialist. I passed all my exams and was awarded Dermalogica student of the year. I went on to complete and pass with credits my final exams in Anatomy and physiology, body electricals, holistic therapy along with my ITEC beauty specialist level 3. As a result of these qualifications, along with lots of hard work I am now running my own salon and have a loyal clientele. Finishing in the final fifteen in Miss England 2008 and winning the public vote was an amazing experience, from which I attended a tv presenters course, many modelling assignments and lots of charity events. I am extremely grateful for these opportunities and have learnt so much along with having lots of fun. Winning Miss South Yorkshire 2009 was a great feeling as I now had the chance to represent South Yorkshire and to work hard towards my dream of becoming Miss England. I went on to finish in sixth place over all, was placed second in the stunning smile award, second in the beautiful hair award and was placed in the top ten for both my talent dvd,which was skiing and the echo outfit I made from ties. The year continued to be full of fabulous events and experiences.My greatest achievement so far has to be the amount of money I have raised for safe@last, the charity I work closely with,over £6000.This was with help from my friends, colleagues,clients and family.Holding a title has made me realise my abilities to fund raise as it has given me a platform and confidence to speak out and I will continue to do so. My most recent achievement is being crowned Miss Chamneys 2010, it is a great honour to represent such a reputable organisation, I intend to work extremly hard to be a great ambassador to the company and its clients. Hopefully my return to Miss England 2010 will do them proud.
Talents
I love to make people smile. Communicating with people of all ages including children is something that I do very well and consider to be a great talent. Skiing and horse riding are passions of mine. I do both of these sports as often as I can and have done from a very young age.Recently I started ballroom and latin dancing, which I am really enjoying, I have always enjoyed social dancing but learning a new skill is extremely rewarding. Art and fashion design have always been of interest to me as I always take great pride in my appearence, health and clothes. Speaking publicly and presenting at charity events is something that I am really enjoying and would like to further as a career.Is fund raising a talent?
Ambitions
My main ambition in life is for myself, my family and my friends to live a long, healthy and happy life full of success. Career wise my ambition is to own my own health spa with rehabilitation facilities where people can come for various treatments. I am one step closer to achieving this now that I am running my own small salon. Many opportunities have come my way this past year, I feel very lucky. As my nature is to work hard and do my best in everything I do I know that I will continue this ethos to achieve my dreams and continue to take all the opportunities given to me. I want to be a good role model for young girls and encourage others to follow their dreams as they can become a reality. I realise how lucky I am everyday and would love to help less fortunate people in any way that I can.
